Negroni // Timber Flooring
Our stunning Vienna Woods Negroni boards are sourced from Slow Grown FSC-certified Lithuanian Oak.
The extreme cold winters in Lithuania slows the growth of the oak to produce a very hard, dense wood.
The 20mm thick boards feature a generous 6mm oak top layer. The wide and extra long oak boards up to 2400mm bring a grand ambiance to any interior.
Available in 180mm and 220mm wide boards.
Available in a matt lacquer or hard-wax oil finish. Finished in New Zealand by local artisans.
This board gets its name from the Italian cocktail, the Negroni. It’s believed that the cocktail was invented at the Caffe Casoni in Florence, in 1919. The story goes that the Count Camillo Negroni asked his bartender friend Forsco Sccarselli to strengthen up his favourite cocktail the Americano. He replaced the soda water with Gin and garnished the drink with an orange rather than a lemon and hence the Negroni was born.
