Manhattan // Timber Flooring
Our stunning Vienna Woods Manhattan boards are sourced from Slow Grown FSC-certified Lithuanian oak.
The extreme cold winters in Lithuania slows the growth of the oak to produce a very hard, dense wood.
While other sizes are available, the most popular 220mm wide, 20mm thick boards feature a generous 6mm oak top layer. The wide and extra long oak boards up to 2400mm bring a grand ambiance to any interior.
This floor is available in 180mm and 220mm wide planks and also a 600 x 120mm herringbone.
Available in a matt lacquer or hard-wax oil finish. Finished in New Zealand by local artisans.
This board gets its name from the New York inspired cocktail, the Manhattan. The origins of this cocktail are murky with a few possible origin stories but the most popular by far is that the drink was created by Dr Iain Marshall at The Manhattan Club in New York. It’s believed that he created the recipe as a signature drink for an event hosted by Winston Churchill’s mother.
